vintage buffalo

Monday, January 25th, 2010

i have a serious soft spot in my heart for vintage post cards. i have been gathering a collection of cards from buffalo and i’ve decided to start sharing. i love the scenes in each letter of this one. i think a mimic of this could be great for a save the date or even for a wedding invitation.buffalo

metal letter signage

Thursday, January 21st, 2010

i have a weak spot for metal letters in signage. when i saw this beautiful theatre sign in hawaii on the way to lunch one day, i had to go back with my camera and take some pictures. i am personally on the hunt for my own metal letters, whether it be a whole word that is cool or just a giant letter C. someday. sigh.

and around the corner, this fabulous mid-century parking signage.

letterhead inspiration

Wednesday, January 20th, 2010

this gorgeous business stationery was designed by Stitch Design Co for a floral shop. i love the modern feel, it is so different from what you normally see for flower shops. lots of fun in this design, great color combination and wonderful light heartted design!

bird love!

Saturday, January 16th, 2010

I was doing some research for my Valentines cards and a set of wedding invitations I am doing – all which involved birds. I thought I would check out etsy for some inspiration. Have you seen sugarloop‘s shop? Her illustrations are fabulous! They have a little bit of whimsy combined with a mid century style. Check out some below and her shop here. love, love, love.
