i love the fabulous work of amy prior & carly schwerdt. they are textile designers for umbrella prints in australia. their hand screen printed fabrics are just beautiful. the color choices and the boldness of the patterns really pop and are perfect for making a statement piece. think bright pillows on a neutral palette!

graphic design nerdery is alive and well in belgium. the pantone hotel, in brussels, is totally themed in the color matching system, right down to the cocktails. anyone for a Pink Champagne PANTONE 12-1107?
not only do i love to cook, but i love to read about cooking. i am also easily persuaded by an awesome food based photograph. in my opinion, creating a tasty meal is all about good design, from mixing flavors appropriately to plating the food in an appealing manner. food should always be beautiful. out there on the interwebs there is an overwhelming amount of food blogs – and while it is fun to explore them all, it can get overwhelming. in comes, tastespotting. i came upon this site, and find it so well designed and organized i had to share. plus, there is a ton of beautiful food photography filling every page. with recipes submitted from foodie blogs it is a great resource, search by category for recipes, roll the dice with the random button to be inspired or just look at all the beautiful food!
